ASUS Tinker Board Introduction
ASUS Tinker Board is a Single Board Computer (SBC) in an ultra-small form factor that offers class-leading performance while leveraging outstanding mechanical compatibility. The Tinker Board offers makers, IoT enthusiasts, hobbyists, PC DIY enthusiasts and others a reliable and extremely capable platform for building and tinkering their ideas into reality.
With its powerful and modern quad-core ARM-based processor — the Rockchip RK3288 — Tinker Board offers significantly improved performance versus other popular SBC boards. To provide the flexibility needed for different builds and projects, Tinker Board features 2GB of LPDDR3 dual-channel memory. Tinker Board is also equipped with an SD 3.0 interface that offers significantly faster read and write speeds to expandable microSD cards used for the OS, applications and file storage.
OPNOUS Dolphin ToF Camera Introduction
OPNOUS Dolphin ToF camera consists of OPNOUS ToF sensor OPN8008, VCSEL driver OPN7007 and ToF ISP OPN6001. It has built-in high performance, low power consumption ToF signal processing features -- auto-exposure(AE), high dynamic range(HDR), spatial and temporal de-noise and multi-device interference immunity. Dolphin ToF camera provides an easy-to-integrate ToF 3D vision solution for multiple applications, such as face recognition, motion tracking, 3D reconstruction, AR/VR, gesture control and interaction, health-care, elder-care and surveillance.
How does Dolphin Work with Tinker board
Dolphin ToF camera streams out 3D depth image and 2D Infra-red(IR) image via MIPI interface, while communicating with host application processor via SPI and I2C interface.
By connecting Dolphin’s MIPI interface to Tinker Board’s MIPI CSI interface and connecting Dolphin’s SPI/I2C interface to Tinker Boards’s 40-pin GPIO interface, Dolphin has been successfully integrated into Tinker Board system as a camera peripheral.
OPNOUS develops a set of reference code demonstrating how to activate the Dolphin camera and get depth/IR images from Tinker Board application software perspective. Users can start developing their embedded 3D vision application from this reference code.
